Writing Up A Storm

A short story that I wrote

I'm almost positively sure that you have all heard the saying "Writing up a storm." Well in this story there is a girl with the name of Macy. She loved to write, not mention that she had a spectacular way with words. On Monday she would write poems, on Tuesdays she would write short stories, on Wednesdays... well I'll just get to the point. Her papers accumulated. There were stacks and piles and bags and boxes full of papers. She loved all her stories and poems so much that she never threw out any.

So one day she was sitting at her desk... you know what she was doing. It was a muggy day, very humid and sunny. All of her windows were wide open (biggest mistake of her life.) All of a sudden a breeze started up. A large breeze which soon turned into a large and strong wind. You can guess what happened next. All of Macy's papers flew right out the window.

They made the shape of a tornado which came barreling towards her house! Suddenly she remembered a story that she had written a long time ago where exactly the same thing had happened to a young girl and her brother. She strained to remember what the girl had said to stop the tornado of stories, essays, and poems. Suddenly it all clicked and she remembered!

"HANFALROFINSHNAWPER!!!"

It was over. The storm was gone. And she was okay. A miracle that could only be caused by the love of writing.
